Because of your efforts on debt relief, 52 million kids in Africa are attending school!

Dear Kevin,

As Co-Chairs of Jubilee USA Network, we would like to extend a special note of thanks to you on Thanksgiving for your partnership this year. It’s because of you that Jubilee USA Network has so much to be thankful for!

We are grateful for all that we have been able to accomplish in 2013 with your partnership. Because of your efforts on debt relief, 52 million kids in Africa are attending school! Because of you, Jubilee USA stood up to vulture funds, secured the introduction of legislation in the House and Senate to stop tax haven abuse to benefit the poor and won commitments by IMF members to provide $4 billion in zero percent interest rates on existing loans to some of the world’s poorest countries. Because of you, Jubilee USA has been quoted in more than 50,000 news stories since the beginning of 2013.

On Thanksgiving, we extend our deepest gratitude to you and our thousands of people that join us in building an economy that serves, protects and promotes the participation of the most vulnerable. We are grateful for 300 faith communities, 75 member organizations, 50 global partners, and hardworking Jubilee USA staff. We wish you and your family a blessed day of thanks.

With Gratitude,

Beatrice Parwatikar and Mike Neuroth
Jubilee USA Network Co-Chairs

P.S. Our hearts go out to the people of the Philippines, who are recovering from the devastation brought on by Typhoon Haiyan. We’ve been working with our Jubilee partners to cancel the Philippines’ unsustainable and illegitimate debts so the Filippino people can use their resources to rebuild. As we give thanks for the blessings in our lives, can you please sign our petition to international lenders to ask them to help the people of the Philippines?
