It’s not all over, but it could be if we give up

Yes, we’re all in shock. And everyone, no matter where they live, has a legitimate reason to be afraid of the consequences of a Trump presidency. We need to hold on to that fear – because fear can be useful. It can move us to act.

We have to work even harder now to protect the world from the rise of bigotry, hatred, sexism, racism, and climate change denial. We all must pledge to fight them together and strengthen our resolve to act against multiple threats simultaneously.

That’s why we are asking for your support today to protect the Amazon and its peoples.

As Patricia Gualinga of Sarayaku says, indigenous peoples are still leading the “fight for the existence of all humanity on Earth.” We must strengthen that work – especially today.

KEVIN: WATCH VIDEO & DONATE

In a Trump presidency, we will still depend on the Amazon rainforest for climate stability. In a Trump presidency, indigenous peoples will be even more at risk than they are today. In a Trump presidency, the battle to save our climate will become ten times more difficult and a hundred times more important.

Our numbers will grow. Our movements will grow – if we stick together and decide to support the many intersecting struggles we now face.

When you donate, you are transferring power. US citizens can’t vote Trump out of office for four years, but we can demonstrate that our values are still for protecting what is just and right.

Please take action, volunteer, and – yes – donate to the many options you have to push back against Trump’s plans to dismantle our future and mislead with hatred. And please remember to never stop supporting the fights you know to be right.

Thank you from all of us at Amazon Watch!
