“Act like you know what you’re doing.” This is advice I’ve gotten – and given – throughout my life. It definitely helps you try things you may not feel capable of doing. The danger is when you begin to actually believe you know what you’re doing, and what you’re doing is “the right thing.” That’s where things get scary. In our personal relationships. In our world. The good news – Jesus forgives us, even from the cross he was put on by people convinced of their own rightness, and embraces us, even when, by thinking we know everything, we screw everything up.
