Foreign Women in Ibri, Oman

Women require a whole side post dedicated to them so I can have room to elaborate on the different experience they have based on their gender. First let me say, this commentary is based off women who are actually LIVING in Ibri or Oman (maybe another Muslim country but every Muslim country is different). They are truly and wholeheartedly immersing themselves into this culture by understanding the differences and not on vacation.

If a women is staying with a host family, she must cover herself at all times. Omani (Ibri) women have house clothes that are full length colorful cloth-like dresses that are worn with a matching scarf. I made the mistake of forgetting pants once when I went to see my host family sooo…there was a moshkila (problem).
