Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind.”
The is one of the great reversals Christ speaks about often. He wants us to understand that spiritual vision becomes clarified by something unseen. Those we think of as blind may have all the spiritual vision in the world, and those who appear whole may be inwardly barren. Christ pits inner sight and blindness against each other to reveal that only his path of love, sacrifice, and suffering offer us true inward vision.

Movies & Meaning was founded in 2015 as a gathering of people who desire to heal our personal and cultural wounds as a diverse community, laugh and cry around the “campire experience” of great movies, and gain tools for constructive, respectful, and thoughtful dialogue across boundaries of religion, class, race, and age.
