A refugee is a person who is outside his or her country of nationality and can’t return due to a well-founded fear of persecution because of his or her race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. An estimated 50% of refugees are under the age of 18.
June 20, 2017 is World Refugee Day, and we want to challenge you to take an action a day for a week straight to support refugees everywhere. Refugees are all around the world, and are our neighbors, colleagues, and friends. It’s up to us to take action to ensure safety, equality, and fairness for everyone, especially the people who are displaced from their homes.
