I’m tired of the rules of the game being rigged against us. Aren’t you????

Kevin,

I’m tired of the rules of the game being rigged against us. The wealthy and powerful spend big to elect politicians, and then lobby for policies like tax breaks and favorable regulations that make the rest of us poorer, sicker, and less well off. And I’m not going to stand for it any longer!

We need to change the rules of the game – so the priorities of everyday people have a real chance of being addressed.

We can change the rules by passing the Government by the People Act (H.R. 20), which would create a small-donor matching system for Congressional elections. Small-donor matching would change how campaigns are funded, by matching small contributions 6-to-1 with limited public funds. This would reduce the power of big money and ensure candidates are accountable to their constituents, not special interests.

Sign now to become a citizen co-sponsor of the Government by the People Act (H.R. 20) and call on Congress to act!

Our democracy only works if our system is fair, and everyone’s voice can be heard. Our current system is way out of balance, and the rules have been rigged so that big-money donors have more power than ever.

Let’s change the rules so they no longer favor corporations and the wealthy over you and me. We’re only going to make progress on issues like climate change, affordable health care, student loans, criminal justice reform, and strengthening Medicare and Social Security when we change how campaigns are funded.

Act now: sign and call on Congress to pass the Government by the People Act!

Thanks,
