Bunnatine “Bunny” Greenhouse

Bunnatine “Bunny” Greenhouse spoke about her experience reporting waste, fraud, and abuse by Halliburton in the lead up to the Iraq War on TV this week.  While at the Army Corps of Engineers, Greenhouse stood alone in opposing the approval of a highly improper multi-billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton. Later, during her 2005 Congressional testimony, she described the contract as “the most blatant and improper contract abuse I have witnessed during the course of my professional career.”In retaliation for her courage, she was removed from her position, and went through a prolonged and highly contentious legal battle. Ultimately, her attorney, NWC co-founder and current president Michael Kohn, forced the Army Corps to fully settle the case.Her critical disclosures resulted in major reforms prohibiting no-bid contracts. “I would like to thank my attorney, Michael Kohn, and the National Whistleblower Center for the support and unbelievably hard work they have put forth.
