I wish I had better news to share. Today, the Trump administration announced its decision to keep using the toxic pesticide chlorpyrifos on our food, even though it’s known to harm children’s brains. This is a blatant handout to chemical companies at the expense of public health. By allowing this pesticide to stay in our fruits and vegetables, Trump’s EPA is breaking the law and neglecting the overwhelming scientific evidence that chlorpyrifos damages children’s brains and endangers farmworkers.  We will challenge this decision in court.Meanwhile, lawmakers in states like Hawaiʻi and New York are showing the rest of the country that banning this dreadful pesticide is not only possible, but inevitable.  We will take on the Trump administration’s defiance of the law and science and move forward to get statewide bans in the meantime.We’ve been fighting the reckless use of pesticides for decades, and, thanks to the support of people like you, we’re not stopping now.Thank you for being a partner in this fight.
