Bernie Was Right! In a stunning turn of events, Republicans are poised to lose the House of Representatives in 2018. According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, voters prefer a Democratic majority by 54 to 38 percent! In the same poll, respondents were asked to sum up Donald Trump in a single word. Among the top responses were “idiot,” “incompetent,” and “liar,” with “unqualified,” “ignorant,” and “stupid” high on the list. When Sen. Bernie Sanders spoke to more than 1,200 activists, organizers and candidates at the People’s Action Founding Convention, he challenged us to do more than resist Trump. We have to win with a progressive agenda that meets the needs of working people. We can take back our government, but it will take more than television ads in the closing days of a campaign.
